I knew my best friend’s family was a little bit weird, but I didn’t know how much until they invited me to go on vacation with them. At first, everything was fine, but then her dad made a toast at dinner, thanking his wife and daughter for everything. But when he got to me, he said in front of everyone that it’s impressive how much I’ve blossomed and that he would fuck me if he were 18. Everyone laughed, but I kept thinking about that joke for the rest of the day. My best friend said that I was overreacting, so I apologized and tried to let it go by going to sleep.
